BBC has announced that Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa is set to play the titular role in Doctor Who.Current Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker announced her departure from the long-running series last July. She’s set to star in one more episode set to air this autumn to coincide with the centenary of the BBC and rumours about her replacement have been rife.Last year it was reported that Years & Years’ Olly Alexander was in negotiations with the BBC about becoming The Doctor but today it’s been confirmed that Ncuti Gatwa is set to join Doctor Who as the titular Time Lord.The 29-year-old is most well-known for playing Eric Effiong in Netflix’s hugely popular Sex Education.The future is here! Yossman Frank Grillo will fight a group of “terrifying, deadly creatures” in upcoming feature “The Dagon.”Brad Anderson (“The Machinist”) is set to direct the thriller, working from an original screenplay by Peter Mattei (“Outsiders”).In “The Dagon,” Grillo (“Kingdom”) will play Jack, a father who lives an isolated rural life alongside his family.

Set in the powder keg era of the early ‘70s, the series will follow Maxine as she navigates the line between the haves and the have-nots, the series focuses on questions of who gets a seat at the table and what people will sacrifice to get there.Janney is known for playing C.J.

Neal Adams, the legendary comic book artist behind Batman and more superheros, has died. He was 80. Adams' wife confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that he died Thursday due to complications from sepsis.  James Gunn, the director behind "Guardians," tweeted: "RIP to Neal Adams, one of the greats." The official Twitter account of DC Comics also issued a statement, noting that "the modern comic landscape would not be what it is today without the incomparable work" of Adams.
