Jamie Foxx has paid tribute to his Django Unchained co-star Keith Jefferson, after he tragically passed away aged 53. Keith, who played Pudgy Ralph in the hit 2012 film, had been battling cancer. Actor Jamie, 55, shared the heartbreaking news of Keith's passing on social media on 5 October, as he paid tribute to his late friend.
Sharing a recent photo of them together, Jamie told fans "this one hurts" and branded Keith "an amazing soul". His full message read: "this one hurts. Keith, you've been nothing but absolute grace, your whole life your heart is pure your love is immeasurable you were an amazing soul.
"We all miss you dearly. It's gonna take a long time for this to heal. Goodbye, my friend.
I love you." Jamie then posted a second photo of them together along with another heartbreaking tribute.
The 55 year old wrote: "Everything hurts right now having a hard time looking through these pictures relieving the memories of us having a great time going to miss you man gonna miss you... every since we met back in college, you have been incredible soul God rest, NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE TO SEE THE WORDS ABOUT MY FRIEND RIP Keith". Thousands paid tribute to Keith on social media, with Porscha Coleman saying: "Keith was so incredible if they only knew.
He was a gem and so full of life. Fly high with the angels my friend. Love you always".
"So very sorry for your loss Sending our deepest condolences Strength to you," Keisha Epps penned, while musician Bryan Barbarin said: "Damn!! He was an amazing artist and a better friend. He will be dearly missed". Keith was an actor, producer, singer and dancer.
