with Backstage, Holland recounted how while auditioning for Finn in “Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens,” he simply couldn’t stop laughing at his audition partner.“I remember doing this scene with this lady, bless her, and she was just a drone. So I was doing all of this, like, “We gotta get back to the ship!” And she was going, ‘Bleep, bloop bloop, bleep bloop'” Holland said.

When you see an actor like Tom Holland secure A-list status at a young age, you have to assume it all came really quickly. Clearly, he didn’t spend two decades toiling away at auditions and bit roles before landing the career-defining role.

It’s seemingly suffering a similar fate to Fox 2000, a live-action branch of 20th Century Studios that was axed post-merger as similar projects were shifted over to Searchlight Pictures.

Disney is closing down animation house Blue Sky, which is responsible for the “Ice Age” franchise, according to a studio spokesperson.The former Fox-based animation house produced 13 features that grossed $5.9 billion.“Given the current economic realities, after much consideration and evaluation, we have made the difficult decision to close filmmaking operations at Blue Sky Studios,” according to a studio spokesperson.More to come…
