Disney is the latest studio to begin halting film productions in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.
According to Variety, the studio has temporarily stopped production and pre-production on several live-action films, including “The Little Mermaid”, “The Last Duel”, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”, “Home Alone”, “Nightmare Alley”, “Peter Pan & Wendy” and “Shrunk”.

Can you ever really get tired of seeing your favorite Disney characters on the big screen, again and again? Okay, maybe. But that’s not gonna stop the company from raking in the big bucks with a new cache of live-action remakes and spin-offs based on their animated classics. Here’s the good news: Not all of them will be cookie-cutter scene-by-scene re-creations of their source material. And even if they are, you can bet they’re going to be beautiful.
We know, you were supposed to be seeing Mulan this weekend. People all over the world were looking forward to Disney's latest live-action offering based on one of the classic animated titles from its vaunted vault. Alas, the novel coronavirus pandemic has put a stop to all theatrical releases for awhile, and in the hopes that we will all one day in the near-as-qualifies-as-safe future, Disney is waiting for the all-clear rather than digitally beam Mulan into your home.
