Kitty Liv of Kitty, Daisy And Lewis shares upbeat new single ‘Nothing On My Mind (But You Babe)’
NME below.Released today (June 13), the track is the latest to arrive ahead of Liv’s upcoming debut solo album, ‘Easy Tiger’. It follows on from previous singles ‘Neck On The Line’, ‘Keep Your Head Up High’, ‘The Sun And The Rain’ and ‘Sweet Dreams’.It marks one of the more jubilant and upbeat songs on the forthcoming LP, and sees the singer-songwriter explore the feeling of being head-over-heels in love with someone, while simultaneously being worried about the thought of them leaving.“I want you only, just save me from lonely/ ‘cause I felt this right from the start/ Do what you must and I put all my trust in that you won’t go breaking my heart,” she sings in the opening lines.Initially written on the piano, the finished result sees Kitty Liv bring in inspiration from funk and hip-hop, as the song incorporates a full drum groove and a choppy guitar rhythm.
