Paramedics were forced to scale the mountain to reach the casualty after the helicopter landed nearby. A coastguard helicopter also raced to the mountain from Prestwick and rushed the man to hospital.

Detectives have released a picture of a man they want to speak to after a delivery driver was 'viciously' attacked in Whalley Range.
Officers were called to Manley Road at around 9.20pm last night (14 June) to reports of an assault.
A 35-year-old male delivery driver had been slashed across the cheek with a knife, police said.
The offender is understood to have fled the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital
