Drew Barrymore was pleased Britney Spears didn't have a sit-down dinner at her wedding earlier this year. In June, the Toxic hitmaker tied the knot with long-time boyfriend Sam Asghari at her home in Los Angeles, with Drew, Madonna, Donatella Versace, and Selena Gomez among the celebrity guests. When asked about the nuptials during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday night, the star revealed that she loved how Britney decided to forgo a meal as part of the event.

In late August, Selena Gomez blessed “Calm Down,” a standout from Nigerian Afrobeats star Rema’s March debut LP, Rave & Roses, with a remix. And today, a new visual treatment for the track’s Gomez redux has arrived. While not a direct remake, the new video stays close to the color palette and general aesthetic of the original song’s accompanying clip, with Rema and Selena gliding through a series of stylish outfit changes in an array of tastefully decorated rooms.

Carson Burton The Television Academy and NBC on Wednesday announced the first group of presenters for Monday night’s Emmys ceremony. The lineup includes Selena Gomez, “Hacks” stars Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder, “Squid Game” stars Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-yeon, Amy Poehler, Diego Luna and more. The ceremony, which aims to celebrate television’s biggest names and shows, will be hosted by “SNL” star Kenan Thompson. The newly announced lineup of presenters for the evening includes four stars nominated for their acting performances: Smart and Einbinder for “Hacks” as well as Lee and Jung for “Squid Game.” Gomez, who notably did not get a nomination for her performance in “Only Murders in the Building,” will still see a chance at holding an Emmy statuette thanks to the show’s 17 awards nods, including for outstanding comedy series.

The Fund, which held its inaugural film festival in the occupied West Bank in July , was founded by Miri Regev, the controversial former culture minister of Israel who was highly criticicized within the local film community for her right-wing views. Regev was believed to have put pressure on the Israel Film Fund to ban films that were critical of Israel from receiving subsidies. The signatories of the public letter said they will not seek funding from, nor cooperate with the Shomron (Samaria/West Bank) Film Fund and have urged the Israeli Academy of Film and Television not to partake in “whitewashing the Occupation” ahead of the Ophir Awards, the country’s version of the Academy Awards, later this month. The filmmakers claim that the Shomron (Samaria) Film Fund has one goal: inviting “Israeli filmmakers to actively participate in whitewashing the Occupation in exchange for financial support and prizes.”
