Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans‘ new movie The Gray Man will be the most expensive project ever commissioned by Netflix executives.Bosses at the streaming site have given Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo over $200 million to make the film, according to Deadline.The story is based on Mark Greaney‘s 2009 novel about a freelance assassin and former CIA operative on the run.

Netflix’s new spy thriller The Gray Man, it’s been announced.The movie, which is intended to create a new franchise in the style of James Bond, will be directed by Avengers: Endgame filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo.The Gray Man is based on a novel of the same name by Mark Greaney, which was published in 2009.

The Gray Man, with the intention “to create a new franchise with a James Bond-level of scale and a budget upward of $200 million." Per the trade publication, this will be Netflix's most “financially ambitious” project to date.  Written by Joe Russo, who will direct along with his brother, Anthony Russo, The Gray Man is based on the novel by Mark Greaney.
