A deer was rescued from the River Mersey in Stockport firefighters before being returned to a nearby country park.
The small deer was spotted in the stretch of the river off New Bridge Lane close to the town centre on Sunday afternoon.
Fire crews were dispatched, and with the help of officers from the RSPCA, they began the task of safely retrieving it from the water.
