Death in Paradise's Ralf Little could be replaced by a familiar face, as fans are buzzing with the idea that a former detective might step back into the lead role. After Ralf announced he'd be hanging up his detective hat as Neville Parker at the end of series 13, speculation has been rife about who will take over the reins. Ralf has made quite the impression since joining the BBC hit show in 2020, becoming the longest-serving DI to date.

With the latest Death in Paradise actor, Ralf Little, having left the fictional island of Saint Marie - rumours have been swirling as to who will replace him as the lead detective. Ralf played Detective Inspector Neville Parker for five years, having taken over the role from Ardal O’Hanlon, who played DI Jack Rooney, in 2020.

The Inbetweeners‘ James Buckley will be returning to 2:22: A Ghost Story when it returns to London’s West End next month.The actor, who played Jay Cartwright in the hit comedy series, will reprise the role of Ben opposite Stacey Dooley, who will be making her West End debut as Jenny. The play made its debut in the West End in 2021 and has enjoyed various successful runs in different theatres since then, while also being taken on tour throughout the UK.Buckley will appear in the play from May 25 to August 4 at London’s Gielgud Theatre as part of the show’s seventh West End season.

Recounting the situation to his fans on Instagram, Ralf said: "I went to the gym this morning and I put on this hoodie to keep me warm, it's a Death In Paradise cast and crew hoodie.

Peter Davison, known for his guest stint on the show years ago and currently starring in Beyond Paradise, has expressed his eagerness to reprise a detective role on the tropical series.
