David Byrne and the Weeknd Announced as SNL Musical Guests

The Weeknd has announced a tour behind his new album After Hours, which is out March 20 (via XO/Republic). It marks his first trek since 2017’s Starboy tour. David Byrne’s hit stage show American Utopia ends its first run tonight (February 16), following 121 performances at Hudson Theatre on Broadway. Now, Byrne has announced the popular musical’s second run, which will kick off September 18, 2020, and continue for 17 weeks through January 17, 2021. The second run will return to the Hudson Theatre.

The Weeknd is revealing the title of his new album!

After dropping the singles “Heartless” and “Blinding Lights” last year, The Weeknd has finally revealed the title of his upcoming album. In a short trailer posted to social media, he announced that the project is called After Hours. He had previously been referring to it as “Chapter VI”:

Saturday Night Live is continuing its streak of star-studded performances by announcing on Thursday (Feb. 6) that The Weeknd and David Byrne will be returning as musical guests.Byrne will ring in the leap year with his performance on Feb.

John Mulaney will return to the hallowed halls of 30 Rock at the end of February to host Saturday Night Live for the third time after leaving the writing staff in 2012. Mulaney will step up as host on Saturday, Feb.

John Mulaney and Daniel Craig will both be back to host “Saturday Night Live,” for their third and second times, respectively.
