Leo Barraclough International Features Editor Filmmaker duo Fernanda Valadez and Astrid Rondero have signed with CAA. Valadez and Rondero co-directed and co-wrote “Sujo,” which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and won the Grand Jury Prize for World Dramatic competition. The film currently holds a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Michaela Zee David Seidler, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of “The King’s Speech,” died Saturday while on a fly-fishing expedition in New Zealand. He was 86.

David Seidler, best known for his Academy Award-winning writing on The King’s Speech, died on Saturday, March 16 while on a fly-fishing expedition in New Zealand.  He was 86 and no cause was given.

A cause of death has not been disclosed.The news was announced by Alliance Agents on Tuesday (March 12), with the agency paying tribute to a career “spanning over 50 years with notable roles in Sherlock Holmes, A Passage to India, Secret Army and of course one of the most memorable death scenes in the Star Wars franchise.”Culver played Captain Needa in The Empire Strikes Back, the character who is Force-choked to death by Darth Vader after losing track of a rebel ship.“Apology accepted, Captain Needa,” Vader (voiced by James Earl Jones) says as Culver’s character drops to the ground clutching his throat.

Karl Wallinger, a star of The Waterboys and World Party, has sadly passed away at the age of 66.The musician's publicist confirmed that he died on Sunday (March 12). Karl, who was born in Wales, formed World Party in 1986 after leaving The Waterboys.Their debut album, Private Revolution, included popular songs like Ship Of Fools.They released several more albums, with their fourth, Egyptology, featuring the track She's The One.This song was later covered by Robbie Williams and reached number one on the UK charts in 1999. In 2001, Karl had a brain aneurysm which paused his career for a few years.

Fleabag star Andrew Scott has been left heartbroken as his beloved mum Nora passed away after a 'sudden illness' just before Mother's Day.The actor and his family shared the sad news that Nora passed away on Thursday, March 7, at St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. An obituary read: "It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Nora Scott (nee Boyle), beloved wife of Jim, mother of Sarah, Andrew and Hannah." Pat Saperstein Deputy Editor Iris Apfel, who became a fashion icon known for her vast, colorful, eclectic wardrobe and was the subject of Albert Maysles‘ 2014 documentary “Iris,” died Friday. She was 102. Apfel died at her home in Palm Beach, Fla., according to the New York Times.
