David Beckham has reflected on the occasion he once ate a whopping 32 snails during a single meal sitting.The England footballer and dad-of-four has shared the memory only a few days after revealing that his wife Victoria Beckham has eaten the same meal almost every day for the last 25 years. David, 47, opened up about the delicious meal during a visit to an opulent French restaurant in Paris.The former Manchester United player explained how he'd eaten a number of dishes at Chez L'Ami on a number of occasions, including escargots in the past. But on one visit, he decided to go one step further and managed to chow down on a record number of 32 morsels.

You can sign up at the top of the page The dish involves slurping or spooning the delicacy from the snail's shell, and can be a very divisive one for fussy eaters. But David has already proved he's nothing like his former Spice Girl Victoria wife, who sticks to a healthy diet rigidly.
Speaking on the River Cafe Table 4 podcast, the star shared: "My record of eating escargots is 32 at one dinner.They're big.They come in trays of six or nine. "I was in there with Victoria once and we were in there for about four hours and had the most amazing wine." David went on to say he used to visit the restaurant once a week, but always felt guilty because as a professional athlete he tried to "watch" what he ate. Instead, he would simply make sure he "ran harder the next day" as penance for his indulgent feast.
