Dave Franco Talks ‘The Afterparty’ and Making Music as Fictional Pop Star Xavier

Warner Music India has announced a partnership with Indian pop star Armaan Malik which will see the major and the musician sign artists via his Always Music Global label. That venture will also release some of Malik’s own music, specifically his Hindi non-film music.The two companies say the partnership will seek to further their “shared vision to fuel the burgeoning music scene of India” and to “release, market and position Hindi pop music across the world”.Says Malik: “I’m humbled and honoured to embark on a new chapter of my career with this unique collaboration between my label Always Music Global and Warner Music India.

But the project developed organically while the Foos were recording their 10th studio album, 2021’s “Medicine at Midnight,” at a mansion in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles.“It is something I never wanted to or expected to do.

Zendaya, “The Crown” star Josh O’Connor and “West Side Story” actor Mike Faist have been tapped to star in a new film from Luca Guadagnino called “Challengers” at MGM, according to a report first in Puck. “Challengers” is a romantic, sports-themed romance set in the world of pro tennis and stars Zendaya as a player turned coach who has managed to transform her husband (Faist) into a Grand Slam champion. But when he gets stuck on a recent losing streak, she makes him enter a “Challenger” event on the lowest rung of the pro circuit, only to discover he has to face an opponent (O’Connor) who is also his former best friend and his wife’s former boyfriend.

Ellise Shafer Zendaya, Josh O’Connor and “West Side Story” star Mike Faist are set to star in Luca Guadagnino’s new romantic drama “Challengers” at MGM.“Spider-Man: No Way Home” producer Amy Pascal is producing the film via her Pascal Pictures alongside Zendaya and Guadagnino. Playwright Justin Kuritzkes is penning the script.The film centers on the competitive world of tennis, in which player-turned-coach Tashi (Zendaya) has transformed her husband Art (Faist) into a grand-slam champion.

Dave Franco is looking back at his not-so-romantic proposal to his wife Alison Brie, admitting that it was a little bit awkward for both of them.The 36-year-old actor who is preparing to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary, talked to James Corden during the latest episode of ‘The Late Late Show’ and explained what happened.The happy couple first met in New Orleans back in 2011 and the actress wore a silver mask throughout the entire weekend, “I would try to take it from her, she wouldn’t let me take it. It was this playful back-and-forth,” Dave shared.Alison left him the mask with a note at the end of the trip, and the actor decided to save it and use it for his proposal in 2015, where the couple went on a romantic trip to Big Sur in California.Dave says he planned the romantic proposal carefully: “So, we go up to Big Sur, we’re on the back patio, she’s out overlooking the ocean,” he continued, “She turns around, I’m on one knee, I’m wearing the mask, I’m holding up the ring.

However, their journey to the alter apparently got off on a hilariously awkward first step.Franco sat down with James Corden on Wednesday's — and was joined on the couch by four-time Oscar nominee Annette Benning — where he opened up about how his proposal to Brie turned out much weirder than he ever intended.«My wife and I, we met at Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Over that weekend, she was wearing this silver Mardi Gras mask on her head, and I'd try to take it from her and she wouldn't let me take it. It was this playful back and forth, Franco recalled.
