According to the comedian, the young man told him it was about getting attention for his grandmother, who was allegedly forced out of her neighborhood because of gentrification.
Later on, Chris Rock joined him onstage and Dave said: “At least you got smacked by someone of repute. I got smacked by a homeless guy with leaves in his hair!” to which Chris responded: “I got smacked by the softest n– that ever rapped.”
The City Attorney has charged his attacker with four misdemeanors.
