EXCLUSIVE: Emmy winner Darren Criss is lending his voice to the upcoming 10th season of DreamWorks Animation‘s hit preschool series Gabby’s Dollhouse, which premieres August 5 on Netflix.
Criss will take on the voice of Marty the Party Cat, the latest Gabby Cat who lives in the newly unveiled “Party Room.” Marty can use his Party Tail to magically change the look of the Party Room to fit any occasion and loves to sing, dance, play games, and throw confetti.
Criss joins the Season 2 cast alongside Laila Lockhart Kraner, who stars as the titular character Gabby.
Created and executive produced by Traci Paige Johnson (Blue’s Clues, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood) and Jennifer Twomey (Blue’s Clues, Team Umizoomi), Gabby’s Dollhouse is a mixed media series that unboxes a surprise before jumping into a fantastical animated world full of adorable cat characters that live inside Gabby’s dollhouse.
In 2023, according to Nielsen, the Gabby’s Dollhouse series was the sixth-most-viewed streaming original series. The series has spent 7 weeks in the Global English TV Top 10 list and has been in the Top 10 in TV in 57 countries on Netflix, and has become a top 3 preschool brand in the U.S. The series also inspired a toy line, publishing, home, apparel, and more, as well as original music, a top-rated app and a growing YouTube channel visited by millions of fans weekly, according to DreamWorks.
Glee alum Criss voiced Superman in Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Parts One and Two and will next be heard as the character inPart Three, set for release on July 16.
