Daniel Radcliffe’s girlfriend ‘very confused’ by coronavirus hoax texts

Daniel Radcliffe is speaking out about that false rumor that he had Coronavirus.

Harry Potter alum Daniel Radcliffe made the headlines in the beginning of March this year when fake news about the actor being diagnosed with Coronavirus went viral on the internet. A fake BCC account on Twitter claimed that Daniel Radcliffe has contracted COVID-19, supposedly making him the first popular celebrity to suffer from the virus. Daniel got to know about the rumour only when his make up artist asked him about the same.

Daniel Radcliffe has a new title to add to his biography.  Not only is he a beloved Harry Potter star and longtime actor, but he also unexpectedly became the first celebrity to become a coronavirus Twitter hoax.

As the ancient proverb dictates, no international pandemic is complete without an accompanying celebrity hoax. In the case of our current global crisis, that honor was bestowed upon Daniel Radcliffe. In mid-March, a Twitter account with the handle @BBCNewsTonight reported that the actor had contracted coronavirus, making him “the first famous person to be publicly confirmed.”

While most of our friends use Harry Potter references such as Wingardium Leviosa, Dobby the elf, mudbloods, Alohomora, Lord Voldemort and more, the other chunk that comprises only 10% is clueless looking at each other. The Potter Heads might tease them calling them mudbloods, a term used for commoners in the iconic Harry Potter series which takes you to the world of wizards and witches and merges the line between reality and fantasy.

Daniel Radcliffe is known for one thing - his portrayal of Harry Potter which he lived from the age of 11 until his early twenties. 

While many young people have their big experimentation with alcohol in their 20s, Daniel Radcliffe was sober for most of his — because he got it all out of the way in his teen years!
