Daniel Craig is “very sad” to be stepping down from his role as James Bond but insisted “it’s time to go.”
The British actor has appeared in five movies in the franchise, and will bow out in No Time to Die, which hits theatres in April.
Speaking to Extra at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Craig confessed he was sad to be leaving the franchise.
“I’m very sad, but also it’s been five movies and I’ve been incredibly proud of every single one of them, and now it’s time to go,” he said.
