Critical Role’s ‘Legend of Vox Machina’ Season 3 Premiere Date Set at Prime Video, New Title Sequence Revealed

Todd Spangler NY Digital Editor After a nearly two-year wait, Vox Machina — Critical Role‘s motley crew of D&D adventurers — is returning to Exandria in Season 3 of the hit animated fantasy-adventure series on Amazon’s Prime Video this fall. Prime Video also released a new opening title sequence (watch below). Everything is at stake in Season 3 of “The Legend of Vox Machina“: The Chroma Conclave’s path of destruction spreads like wildfire while the Cinder King hunts down Vox Machina.
The lovable band of misfits must rise above inner (and outer) demons to try and save their loved ones, Tal’Dorei, and all of Exandria. “The Legend of Vox Machina” returns for its third season on Oct. 3, comprising 12 episodes, with three episodes premiering every week starting Oct.
3. Season 2 of “Vox Machina” came out in January 2023. Prime Video greenlit the show’s third season the previous October, after Season 1 came out in January 2022.
“The Legend of Vox Machina” is based on Critical Role’s first D&D campaign, which the group livestreamed from 2015-17. Amazon MGM Studios also set a multiyear exclusive overall TV and first-look film deal with Critical Role, under which it greenlit series “Mighty Nein,” based on Critical Role’s second campaign, which ran from January 2018 to mid-2021. “Vox Machina” stars Critical Role founders and cast members Laura Bailey (The Last of Us: Part II), Taliesin Jaffe (World of Warcraft), Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us), Liam O’Brien (Marvel’s Avengers), Matthew Mercer (Baldur’s Gate 3), Marisha Ray (Fallout 76), Sam Riegel (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), and Travis Willingham (Marvel’s Avengers).
