An MSP has demanded answers from the Scottish Government as it is revealed more people have died of coronavirus in Renfrewshire than in Australia.
Neil Bibby MSP has called for an investigation into shock figures that show Renfrewshire has the third highest Covid-19 death rate in Scotland per head of population.
As of May 3, 149 people had died of coronavirus in Renfrewshire.
The figure, published by the National Records of Scotland, represents a death rate of 8.41 per 10,000 of the population.
