Police 'increasing concerned' for welfare of missing Scots teen boy

Police are "increasingly concerned" about the welfare of a missing teenager from Dumfries. Alam Kharote, 14, was last seen in the Hardthorn Road area of the town at about 3pm this afternoon (Saturday).The teenager is described as Middle Eastern and is 5ft 5in tall, of slim build and has short dark hair.He was last seen wearing a navy blue zip-up top, blue denim jeans, black slider footwear and was carrying a grey/silver backpack.Cops are appealing for help as they try to trace Alam.
