All "non-essential visits" to West Dunbartonshire Council-run care homes are being limited to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The local authority revealed this afternoon that the precautionary measure was being taken and would remain in place until further notice.
A council spokeswoman said: "The health and safety of our residents is paramount and we are maintaining our stringent health and safety practices and have protocols in place to reduce the impact in our care homes.
