With a number of members of the media in America and around the globe already sequestered due to growing coronavirus fears, CBS News today saw two of its team test positive.
In a memo sent to staff in the last hour, CBS News President Susan Zirinsky made the announcement and told NYC employees to “work remotely for the next two days while the buildings are cleaned and disinfected.” (Read the full memo below)

As the growing coronavirus pandemic continues to disrupt film and television production across the globe, the South African industry is bracing for the impact of the virus’s spread as the government announced a raft of emergency measures, including a travel ban on foreign nationals from the U.S. and the U.K.
Somehow, this is becoming almost normal to report. Today, here in New York, it’s the last day that bars, gyms, restaurants, and of course, movie theaters, will be open.
Seth Doane is one of six CBS News employees who have been diagnosed with coronavirus. On Monday, the foreign correspondent joined CBS This Morning from his home in Rome, where he is currently quarantined as he recovers from the virus.
