Coronation Street star Alan Igbon has died “peacefully” aged 68, his niece has confirmed.The soap actor, who also starred in Brookside, was best known for playing Tony Stewart, the estranged father of Jason Grimshaw – played by Ryan Thomas – in the ITV programme in 2003. Alan’s niece confirmed the sad news as she shared a tribute to him on Facebook on Monday 4 January.
