Cops who brought killer Lucy Letby to justice say 'minds blown' over evidence found in her home

An hour long documentary detailing the investigation into serial child killer Lucy Letby has been released by the police team who brought her to justice.
Letby, 33, will spend the rest of her life behind bars after being convicted of murdering seven newborn babies and attempting to kill six more at the Countess of Chester Hospital between June 2015 and June 2016.
The evil killer was sentenced at Manchester Crown Court on Monday and was handed a whole life order, which means she has no chance of parole.
A behind-the-scenes glimpse into the six-year inquiry - called Operation Hummingbird - has now been released by Cheshire Police on their YouTube channel, the Mirror reports.
In the documentary, officers working on the case said their "minds blew" when they uncovered evidence inside Letby's home.
Det Supt Paul Hughes, who led the investigation: “What we found out was in neonatal infants, if a baby collapses, it is usually expected. And even with the outside chance of it being unexpected, it is always explainable. What separated this collection of events was they were unexpected and unexplained.”
Det Supt Hughes continued: “Out of choice I’d have wanted the experts to come back and say ‘We’ve found it, it was a bad bug in the water’ and then I could tell parents it was tragic but this is not murder.”
Intelligence analyst Claire Hocknell added: “With this investigation, your subconscious is constantly searching for a reason for it not to be her. “
