Kristine Coratti Kelly, who is best known for her work at the Washington Post, joins CNN as lead global communications. Chris Marlin will serve as group EVP of strategy and business operations as he seeks out new revenue and optimization opportunities across the business.
Johnita Due will now serve as EVP of integrity and inclusion, a newly created position charged with nurturing diverse talent throughout the company. As a result of the restructure, Calvin Sims is departing the company as his team will now report to Due.The majority of Licht’s remaining leadership team is populated by experienced CNN figures and familiar names.
Michael Bass will continue to work as executive VP of programming for CNN US; Amy Entelis remains entrenched as EVP of talent and content development, overseeing CNN original series and CNN Films. Ken Jautz, who has been with the company for 34 years, stays on as EVP of news with oversight of operations and production.
