Laura, 32, was a finalist in the BBC show in 2020, and has openly admitted to her 208k followers that Alison’s open chat about the topic left her in tears.The reality star took to her Instagram share a picture on Alison in tears on the ITV show and a video of the moment Alison broke down when discussing the delicate issue. Dermot O’Leary has expressed the pride he feels in his This Morning co-host Alison Hammond after she broke down in tears talking about the treatment of people with obesity. On Friday’s edition of the ITV programme, a caller phoned up the show to share their concern for their daughter, who they explained was struggling with eating issues and overeating, despite attempts to seek medical help. The story left Alison visibly moved, as she opened up on how she has ‘had obesity all my life’ and emphasised that obesity is a disease.

During a viewer call-in about the subject on Friday 4 March’s episode, Alison, 47, became visibly emotional, as she reflected on her own weight battle and described it as a “disease”.

UPDATE 2/15/2022: Allison Gollust is stepping down from her position as Chief Marketing Officer for CNN, the network announced on Feb. 15. Jason Kilar, the CEO of the network’s parent company WarnerMedia, made the announcement of Allison’s resignation in a memo to the staff.
