Cirque du Soleil shows are now free to watch online

April showers bring May flowers, and what do May flowers bring? Great movies and TV shows to watch on Netflix, that's what. The world's top streaming service is adding some great content to watch as quarantine enters its second month. Our picks include the new season of cult comedy Workin' Moms, cinematic musical drama miniseries The Eddy, an interactive Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt special, and much, much more.

Hulu has already announced everything that's coming to the streaming service in May, but we all know that about 75 percent of that is straight trash. What you're really looking for is what the good things are from that monstrous list, and it's our job — nay, our duty and honor and privilege — to peruse the list for you and pick out the best things to watch.

Romy Madley Croft of The xx told fans in an Instagram Live session on Sunday that she's working on her debut solo LP. It doesn't have a title or a release date, but, as Stereogum reported yesterday, she did perform a new song called "Weightless." Check it out below.

The coronavirus pandemic has left much of the country inside their own houses in self-quarantine, staying healthy to flatten curves and provide a future for, you know, everything. For the healthy at home, that means we've had plenty of time to fix that leaky faucet, finish that screenplay, and learn a few new languages. Just kidding, we've been watching TV. And that's totally fine.

Many classic albums are surrounded in juicy, front-page-of-the-Daily Mail drama. Then there's Paul McCartney's debut solo album, McCartney -- released 50 years ago on April 17, 1970 -- which is in a league of its own. To some, it's The Album That Ended The Beatles. But, as is so often characteristic of rock lore, much of that drama overshadows the musical artifact and its true lasting legacy.

HBO doesn't just stand for Home Box Office anymore. During this time of self-quarantine and social distancing, it's also an acronym for Home Bored, OK? To fill the time while staying healthy and safe, the pay cable network has released several great series, docuseries, and films from its library for free, to give everyone a taste of what HBO has to offer. (Mercifully, Entourage is not included in this list.)
