New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio‘s daughter was arrested during the Black Lives Matter protest on Saturday night (May 30). Chiara de Blasio was taken into custody around 10:30pm after police declared an unlawful assembly at 12th Street and Broadway in Manhattan, law enforcement sources shared with The Post.

Though Universal seems to be getting a lot of the headlines about leading the way with releasing films directly onto VOD in lieu of a full theatrical release (due to COVID-19), Focus Features might be the studio that is expanding its Premium VOD (PVOD) strategy more than anyone else.

The streaming services are attempting to make the best of this pandemic situation. With people stuck inside and production on films and TV series seemingly on hold, for the time being, streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV+, Disney+, and Amazon are doing everything in their power to make sure they have content to push out to the masses.

Welcome to the strangest summer movie season ever. The days of flocking to the cinema for the latest superhero movie or seasonal indie hit are gone — or at least, put on hold — but just because you aren't taking your seat with your bucket of popcorn in a theater full of strangers doesn't mean Hollywood has nothing to offer. We'll be seeing movies this summer, one way or another.

The parents of Corey La Barrie have sued Daniel Silva and his company, Daniel Silva Tattoos, alleging that the star's negligence was the proximate cause of Corey's death. Silva, 26, was allegedly driving when his car crashed into a tree, killing Corey, 25, on May 10.
