Angelique Jackson Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has announced its programming plans for this year’s journalism conferences for the Asian Americans Journalism Association (AAJA), National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) and the Association of LGBTQ Journalists (NLGJA).The company has set a series of panels, screenings and workshops via WBD brands including CNN, HBO, OWN, Turner Sports and Bleacher Report with the mission of “helping amplify unique voices, supporting creatives of color and advancing representation in media and news.”The first in-person programming is planned for the AAJA conference, which began July 24 in Los Angeles and runs through July 28, as CNN Worldwide returns for the 10th anniversary of its trademark reporter and producer journalism workshops.

Marcus Mumford has announced a North American headline tour for 2022 – tickets will be available from here.The Mumford & Sons frontman will hit the road stateside this autumn in support of his debut solo album ‘(Self-Titled)’, which is due to arrive on September 16 via Island (pre-order here).The tour is set to kick off in Boulder, Colorado on September 19 ahead of further shows in Denver, Seattle, Portland and Los Angeles throughout the rest of that month. The Husslup app, currently in its beta stage, also revealed the winners of its “Roadmap Writers X HUSSLUP” pitch competition: Writers Sarah Mack and Josh Price landed the prize, a chance to pitch their completed script, “Shrink Retreat,” to Keshet International CEO Alon Shtruzman (“La Brea,” “The Missing”).“Shrink Retreat” is about “a burned-out young therapist tries to rekindle her passion for helping others at a secret retreat for psychologists at what turns out to be a wacky summer camp.”The winner was chosen from a group of five finalists that also included Eric Rudnick (“Hold You so Tight”), Gabriel Malasig (“American Retail”), Jacobo Fe (“Halsted: Between Pleasure and Pain”) and Gina DeAngeles (“The Knocking at the Marsh”).
