On Saturday, May 30, Teigen began to help protesters arrested for assembling in cities such as Minneapolis, New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta after the death of George Floyd, a black man in Minneapolis who at the hands of a police officer who knelt on his neck while his coworkers held Floyd down or stood back and watched.

Chrissy Teigen is donating $200,000 "to the bail outs of protestors across the country."Following the death of George Floyd, who was killed when a police officer knelt on his neck, protests have been taking place nationwide.Teigen doubled her initial donation of $100,000 after getting harassed on Twitter.Earlier this week, George Floyd, a 46-year-old Black man from Minneapolis, Minnesota, was tragically killed after a police officer pinned down the victim's neck with his knee.

As people continue to take to the streets to protest the wrongful killing of George Floyd, celebrities are using their platform and resources to help bail out protestors in Minnesota and across the country.  On Saturday, Chrissy Teigen shared on Twitter that "in celebration of whatever the f-ck maga night is, I am commited to donating $100,000 to the bail outs of protestors across the country."  Shortly after, she committed to donating $200,000.
