“Well, what’s going on with Star Trek is frankly, I don’t know,” he told the outlet. “When the announcement was made at the shareholders’ thing, I didn’t know that they were doing that. I don’t think anybody did.”
The announcement of a fourth Star Trek film was made in February and it was reported at the time the cast had no idea, despite J.J. Abrams saying that the original actors were all returning.
“I met Matt Shakman, the director,” Chris added. “He’s a super-cool guy, very smart, I like him a great deal.”
“I know there’s a script out there somewhere and I’m waiting to see it,” he continued. “Looking forward to reading it. I love the group. I love the team. I love the world. Happy to go to work.”
Chris also discussed the fourth Star Trek back in 2020, when he responded to rumors that Quentin Tarantino was involved and revealed that he hadn’t seen the script.
