A child had to hide in a cupboard for an hour during the violent outburst of a police officer accused of raping a woman and another youngster, a court has heard.
Martyn Coulter, 36, is on trial at the High Court in Edinburgh accused of raping a woman and assaulting her three times between June 2013 and November 2014 at addresses in East Lothian and Edinburgh, and is also accused of being threatening towards her.

She said she also heard him hitting a woman's head off of a "marble kitchen counter".

But the specific date the alleged events are said to have taken place have not been confirmed, with various witnesses saying they could not remember.
