Charlotte Crosby believed she 'deserved' to be trolled for being on Geordie Shore

She’s been subject to her fair share of online abuse over the years, and now Charlotte Crosby has revealed that being on Geordie Shore led her to believe she “deserved” to be on the receiving end of awful trolling. Opening up about her experience with online abuse, Charlotte says she felt like she brought the negativity on herself by signing up to the MTV reality show.
Speaking on the Celebrity Search Engine podcast, the 31 year old said: “For so many years being on a show like Geordie Shore you do get called like every name under the sun like after that amount of time you actually just think you know what I deserve what anybody says.” She continued: “You build up such a thick skin you actually just think you know what I deserve it I brought these things on myself I went on that show, I did these things so if anyone is going to say something about it I deserve it.” Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter. Charlotte previously spoke out about her trolling experience after joining the programme during Geordie Shore: Their Story in 2020. “The worst thing about being famous is the trolling and negativity that comes with it, you do kind of get torn apart,” she said.
“It’s every minute, every day, all over the place.” She continued: “I remember going into Geordie Shore with my big eyelashes and I feel like I did my make-up OK.
