Channel 4 Gogglebox couple Dave and Shirley confirm their return and date show will air in 2022

A Scottish couple appeared on Gogglebox for the first time in six years last night.

A fun day for people to tuck into a big plate of pancakes (or two), the date of Shrove Tuesday changes every year.

Stars of Gogglebox have endeared themselves to viewers for nearly 10 years with their comical reactions to the nation's biggest TV show. The Channel 4 hit has been making stars of families sat on sofas and armchairs and fans have grown to love the various characters who have now become household names. The potential next generation of Gogglebox stars will soon be getting a new addition too, as Georgia Bell announced she was pregnant last month.The 21 year old star usually appears alongside best pal Abbie Lynn on the hit show, and revealed the news on Instagram with a photo of her ultrasound scan, captioned "Baby Newby" and "Due July 2022".

Dave and Shirley Griffiths joined popular Channel 4 series Gogglebox in 2015 and soon became firm favourites with fans of the show.The couple, who have been married for 46 years, never fail to put a smile on viewers’ faces as they give their opinions on the week’s television from their home in Caerphilly, South Wales.
