‘Challengers’: Josh O’Connor & Mike Faist Join Zendaya In New Tennis Drama From Luca Guadagnino

Kirsten Dunst revealed that she would gladly reprise her role of Mary Jane Watson in the world of “Spider-Man”.

Spider-Man: No Way Home was one hell of a multiversal affair, with the spell Doctor Strange cast for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker bringing all kinds of people from the Sam Raimi and Marc Webb-helmed Spider-Man movies into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Zendaya, “The Crown” star Josh O’Connor and “West Side Story” actor Mike Faist have been tapped to star in a new film from Luca Guadagnino called “Challengers” at MGM, according to a report first in Puck. “Challengers” is a romantic, sports-themed romance set in the world of pro tennis and stars Zendaya as a player turned coach who has managed to transform her husband (Faist) into a Grand Slam champion. But when he gets stuck on a recent losing streak, she makes him enter a “Challenger” event on the lowest rung of the pro circuit, only to discover he has to face an opponent (O’Connor) who is also his former best friend and his wife’s former boyfriend.

Zack Sharf Netflix’s Marvel comic book series “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” “Luke Cage,” “Iron Fist,” “The Punisher” and “The Defenders” are all leaving the platform for good at the end of February, Variety confirms. The rights to these series are reverting back to Disney, but the studio has not yet announced plans for where “Daredevil” and company will go. Streaming platforms such as Disney Plus and Hulu are possibilities.
