Carol Vorderman and Janice Dickinson were involved in a furious row over the Royal Family during filming for I'm A Celebrity... South Africa.
The all-star series features a slew of famous faces returning to the jungle for a brand new show as the campmates compete to become the first ever I'm A Celebrity: Legend. The show, pre-recorded in South Africa’s Kruger National Park last year, begins tomorrow night.
While the majority of the cast have spoken about the close bonds they formed on the series, it seems Carol and Janice did not get along during their stint.
The former Countdown star came to blows with the ex-model as the pair engaged in a fiery discussion about the royal family. Janice, 68, reportedly let's rip into Carol, 62, over her pro-monarchy views.
An insider told The Mirror: “It was a really explosive bust-up… Janice was effing and blinding."
While fellow co-stars Paul Burrell, who is the former butler to Princess Diana, and Helen Flanagan rushed to Carol's defence during the spat. Janice firmly believes the royals need to go, while Carol is a staunch supporter of the crown.
“Janice can be quite abrasive and things got very heated," the source added.
“She said Carol’s views were old-fashioned and dated while Carol hit back that Janice was crass and obnoxious. She and Carol are both strong women with strong opinions. It was a personality clash that was bound to explode.”
Carol alluded to the feud during an appearance on Lorraine where she gushed over the strong friendships she made in the I'm A Celeb camp, but remained tight-lipped on the subject of Janice. Speaking on the ITV show, she said of Janice: “We’ll not talk about her so much.”
