Cardi B samples Missy Elliott on new single ‘Like What (Freestyle)’

Thania Garcia Cardi B is on a hot streak of releases, returning with a boastsome new single called “Enough (Miami).” The song came accompanied by a music video directed by Patience Harding that sees Cardi spitting the song’s punchy lines while sporting a series of looks. This is the second release the Bronx-born rapper has dropped in a matter of weeks, and is the follow-up to her “Like What (Freestyle).” Although Cardi has not officially announced the arrival of her long-awaited sophomore album (Cardi’s debut “Invasion of Privacy” dropped in 2018), the singer hinted on social media that fans could expect an album later this year.

Vampire Weekend have shared their latest single ‘Classical’, the third offering from their upcoming album ‘Only God Was Above Us‘.Written by frontman Ezra Koenig, produced by Ariel Rechtshaid (Haim, Sky Ferreira) and Koenig and featuring an orchestral arrangement by Will Canzoneri, Koenig and Rechtshaid, the track highlights a whimsical beat against lyrics such as: “I know that walls fall, shacks shake / Bridges burn and bodies break / It’s clear something’s gonna change,” asking the question “And when it does, which classical remains?”Directed by Vampire Weekend’s longtime creative director Nick Harwood, the track’s accompanying music video sees the band alongside Rechtshaid, Ray Suen and their drum tech Josh Goldsmith on the guitar playing the song against a green screen with fresco paintings, churches and clocks behind them.‘Classical’ follows the two previously released singles ‘Capricorn’ and ‘Gen-X Cops’. All three tracks will be featured on the band’s fifth LP ‘Only God Was Above Us‘, which is set for release on April 5 via Columbia.

Willow has shared her “mysterious” new single ‘Symptom Of Life’, marking her first release of 2024.The single opens with a haunting and odd piano riff along with pounding drums while Williow sings: “Pushing and peeling myself out of my disguise looking at you now I am wondering who am I / If i could try to take you back I couldn’t define / Feeling / Absence of time / Knowing / All is decided / There’s nothing / Here left to find / The story’s all in my mind”.Speaking of the song in a press release, Willow said: “The song has a very beautiful whimsical nature but holds a lot of mystery. There’s this beautiful light coming in through the piano, but also this syncopated rhythm of the bass bringing in that mysterious element.
