Efforts to remove a car from Rochdale Canal are continuing, as police hunt for those responsible for the crash.
A white BMW plunged into a section of the canal near the primary school at Smithy Bridge, Littleborough, after a late-night crash on Sunday (June 27).
Residents heard a commotion and a series of bangs at around 11.30pm, before discovering the vehicle had plummeted into the water.
