California Will Appeal Trump Decision To Reject Disaster Declaration For Fires

LOS ANGELES – Along with most of the United States Wednesday, California woke up to an undetermined outcome in the race for the White House, which as of Wednesday evening showed President Donald Trump trailing his Democratic challenger, former Vice-President Joe Biden, with an electoral count of 264 – 214 as of 6 PM Pacific.

California voters have rejected by a 10% margin, a ballot measure that would have abolished cash bail in the Golden State. The electorate overturned a 2018 law, SB 10, which established a risk-assessment program that allowed judges to decide which suspects to free and which should remain in jail while awaiting trial.

California secured a Major Disaster Declaration and disaster relief from the White House on Friday after the Trump administration previously turned down its request.  Earlier in the day, Gov.
