California records the most coronavirus deaths in a single day: report

California authorities are investigating whether a "mom influencer" made a false report when she accused a couple of attempting to kidnap her two young children. The Petaluma Police Department said Thursday there is no evidence to support that a crime occurred.

Authorities in the San Francisco Bay Area were investigating a possible shooting Saturday evening at a shopping mall outside San Jose. The driver of a pickup truck had to be rescued and rushed to a hospital Wednesday night in California after a cargo-handling device at the Port of Long Beach fell on top of the vehicle and nearly flattened it, according to a report. The driver was described as a woman in her 60s, the Los Angeles Daily News reported.
