California boy’s plant business helps family move from shed to apartment during pandemic

Some governors are favoring celebrities and Hollywood in the enforcement of coronavirus-related shutdown orders, Fox News contributor Joe Concha said, reacting to a business owner in California who blasted an entertainment company for setting up a tent to feed its crew near her establishment, which had been forced to close due to public health concerns.

California Governor Gavin Newsom took to the podium Monday morning after a devastating weekend for the state that saw the all-time high number of cases on Friday of about 22,000, growing to over 30,000 by Sunday. On Monday, the number was 24,735. “Just over the past 3 days we’ve averaged about 25,000 new cases a day,” said the Governor.

A small business owner said Sunday that California's new coronavirus shutdown may force him out of business.  Alex Miladi, the owner of a karate academy in South Yuba City, told "Fox & Friends" his business has already taken a 70% hit as a result of prior California lockdown measures to contain the virus. “This coming lockdown will pretty much put us out [of business],” he said.

California deputies are investigating the death of an 11-year-old who fatally shot himself during an online class, according to reports.

“Red flags are flying,” said California Governor Gavin Newsom at the top of his Monday COVID-19 press conference.

A California police officer was shot Friday night in Anaheim, near the intersection of Interstate 5 and state Highway 91, according to reports. The officer's medical condition was not immediately clear.
