A butcher has admitted to abducting and sexually assaulting a primary school girl.
Andrew Miller, otherwise known as Amy George, enticed the child into his car in February this year by offering the girl a lift home. The 53-year-old, who was dressed in women's clothing, then took her to his house and locked her in a bedroom, the High Court in Edinburgh heard.
Miller, who is currently transitioning to become a female but was addressed as a male by the court, proceeded to repeatedly sexually assault the girl over the next few days. The prosecution said the child was able to escape and dial 999 while Miller was asleep - he was still sleeping when he was arrested.

Miller pleaded guilty via video link to the court on Thursday (May 18). The offences include abduction, sexual assault, possession of indecent images of children, and intentionally causing a child under the age of 13 to look at a sexual image.
The victim, whose age cannot be revealed in order to protect her identity, was described by police to have 'palpable' fear when she was rescued. The judge described Miller's crimes as 'abhorrent' and 'every parent's worst nightmare'.
Miller will be sentenced in August.
