BTS Unveil First 'Map of the Soul: 7' Concept Photos

Just when we think that we love BTS enough, they give us more reasons to love them. The K-Pop band has been preparing for their comeback tour - Map of the Soul tour - however, there has been a hiccup.

Concerns over the worldwide coronavirus pandemic have led BTS and other musicians to cancel their upcoming concerts. On Thursday in South Korea alone, 256 new cases of coronavirus were reported, bringing the total number of reported cases to over 2,000.

BTS have cancelled a string of shows in South Korea because of the outbreak of coronavirus.

BTS have cancelled four concerts in Seoul, South Korea amid the coronavirus crisis.

K-pop group BTS have canceled four concerts in South Korea due to the recent outbreak of coronavirus. According to a statement from the band’s representatives Big Hit Entertainment, the virus has “made it impossible at this time to predict the scale of the outbreak” during BTS’ slate of concerts in Seoul, which were originally scheduled for April 11, 12, 18, and 19. The dates were meant to kick off the group’s global Map of the Soul Tour.

It’s been 10 months since the release of last April's Billboard 200 chart-topping Map of the Soul: Persona EP, and now BTS is back with Map of the Soul: 7. Out Friday (Feb. 21), the act's fourth LP expands on the themes introduced last year, and spends its 20 tracks ruminating on the duality of the light and dark elements of the band's seven years together.    

BTS just dropped their fourth Korean album, MAP OF THE SOUL: 7. The LP includes the previously released tracks, “Interlude: Shadow,” “Black Swan,” and “Outro: Ego.” This is their first album in 10 months following last year’s MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA.

With the arrival of their music video for new song “ON” today (Feb. 21), BTS reaffirmed their intentions to dominate.

Hey nanana, there’s some new BTS to listen to today (Feb. 20) with the release of a 30-second clip of the South Korean act’s new single “ON” premiering exclusively through TikTok. 

In one day, the world will finally get to listen to Map of the Soul: 7, which is amongst the highly anticipated albums of 2020. BTS have put their 'blood, sweat and tears' in what looks like their most personal album to date, as evidenced by the already released songs - Suga's Interlude: Shadow, J-Hope's Outro: Ego and Black Swan. The promotions for 7 will first kickstart in the US before the boys head back to Seoul for 7's Global Press Conference on February 24, 2020.

In the next coming days, all anyone is going to be talking about is BTS! Why, you ask?! In case you were living under a rock, the popular K-pop band will be dropping their next album, Map of the Soul: 7 on February 21, 2020. After a Today show appearance on the same day as 7's release, we will get to see an entire episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon dedicated to the septet on February 24, 2020, along with a global press conference in Seoul, South Korea, on the same day!

February is indeed a jolly month for ARMY as BTS will soon be dropping the most-awaited album of 2020, Map of the Soul: 7. We've already got sneak peeks of what we can expect in the upcoming track with the pre-release single Black Swan as well as Comeback Trailers; Shadow by Suga and Ego by J-Hope.

BTS has been redefining music in their own might and causing a revolution for K-pop, on a global stage! ARMY, which their fandom is lovingly touted as, ranges from across the world and are one entity, thanks to the Bangtan Boys' meaningful songs, especially their lyrics. Hence, millions are waiting to see what the septet has to offer to their fans in the upcoming album, Map of the Soul: 7, which is going to be "hard," as band leader RM put it so eloquently.

They went from black and white to downright art in less than a week. BTS has been dropping concept photos over the past few weeks. While the first two concept photos featured RM, Suga, J-Hope, V, Jin, Jimin and Jungkook sporting corsets, wings and more. However, the new set of photos sees the K-Pop band channel the Last Supper vibe by Leonardo da Vinci and fans cannot stop raving about the photos. The boys ditched the contemporary look for formal attire for the shoot. 

The countdown to the BTS' Map of The Soul 7 couldn't get better than this. The K-Pop band releases its new album on February 21, 2020. A few days ago, the international band released a set of concept photos featuring BTS members RM, V, Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, Suga and J-Hope that served as a treat for the ARMY. Now, BTS released another bunch of MotS 7 concept photos. The new photos see the Bangtan boys channel their inner angles and donned black wings in the breathtaking photos.
