Lisa Armstrong is said to have been left "heartbroken" after finding out her ex-husband, Ant McPartlin, had become a father for the first time in the press.
The 47 year old makeup artist divorced Ant, 48, in 2018, and he went on to embark on a relationship with their former PA, Anne-Marie McCorbett, who he married in 2021. She gave birth to their son, Wilder Patrick, on Tuesday. Britain's Got Talent host Ant shared the news on Instagram earlier this week with a black and white photograph of himself cradling his newborn son, as he wrote: "Welcome to the family.
Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. Baby is beautiful, Mummy's a legend, Sisters are over the moon.
Dad's a mess." Not long before the news was announced, Lisa shared a cryptic post to Instagram which read: "Be proud of how you have been handling these past few months.
The silent battles you've fought, the moments you've had to humble yourself, the times you've wiped your own tears. Celebrate your strength." News of Ant's journey into fatherhood reportedly left Lisa 'heartbroken' according to a source quoted by the Mail, which claimed she found out of the news via the press. An insider shared with the publication: "Can you imagine having to see that if you're Lisa? It must literally have left her heartbroken.
She tried so hard for their marriage, she tried so hard to save him and when they split she was left without a baby" adding: "It's so very sad." Despite their split, it seemed like Lisa was ready to move on as she recently showed support for Ant ahead of his and Declan Donnelly's final Saturday Night Takeaway show. Lisa liked a post that hailed Ant and Dec as "simply the best" in their showbiz careers. Lisa also showed her appreciation for a post
