U2 have discussed their upcoming shows at the Las Vegas Sphere, which will see them take to the stage without drummer Larry Mullen Jr.The Irish rock veterans are set to kick off their Las Vegas residency later this month at the highly-anticipated new Sphere venue, and have confirmed that they will be playing the first few shows without their resident drummer.Set to launch on September 29, the ‘U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere’ shows will be Bono and co.’s first live shows since the end of 2019, but will see a replacement for Mullen as he continues to recover from surgery.“The whole band and I’m sure the audience are going to be very sad and miss Larry,” said bassist Adam Clayton, speaking to the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column (via Irish Mirror). “He wants to come back, he wants to be able to have a long career and continue his drumming so he’s taking care of those injuries.”He also explained that, while Mullen continues to recover, Krezip drummer Bram van den Berg will be taking his place and performing at the first run of Nevada shows.

Bruce Springsteen N.J. concert review: The Boss does overtime

East Rutherford, NJ’s MetLife Stadium, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bruce Springsteen alluded to one of the few unfortunate breaks in his illustrious career. The music quieted and The Boss told the humorous story of how he was kicked out of his first band, The Rogues, way back in 1965.He laughed it off with “Sopranos” cast member and longtime E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt but clearly this chip on his shoulder had a lasting impact.58 years later, no one in music works harder to put on a truly great show and this unparalleled effort does not go unnoticed.Starting at 7:55 p.m. as fans straggled into the massive New Jersey stadium with their $50 “Born In The U.S.A.” souvenir t-shirts, Springsteen and the E Street Band kicked the evening off with the rockin’, larger-than-life “Lonesome Day” and entertained the packed venue. Then, for nearly 2.5 hours, there was nary a break for the long-running ensemble.

What if Zach Bryan Is Actually as Good as His Huge, Fanatical Audience Thinks He Is?

Chris Willman Senior Music Writer and Chief Music Critic Zach Bryan has a fair amount of Bruce Springsteen in him. But not just a single Bruce. When the newly minted superstar headlined L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena last week (in a single sold-out gig at a venue he probably could have filled several times over), it felt like he is veering toward having his own “Born in the USA” moment, reviving that familiar mixture of populism and substance and making a new generation of fans scramble to get a scarce ticket.

Sam Fender’s brother Liam says they’d “make the Gallagher brothers look like fucking Jedward” if they were in a band together

Sam Fender‘s brother, Liam has said that if they were in a band together, they’d “make the Gallagher brothers look like fucking Jedward.”Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, the singer said (via Female First): “We’ve done little bits and collaborations here and there, but it’s never been in the remit that we would be in a band or anything like that.He continued: “We are both so involved in our own projects we wouldn’t have a moment to think about it. We’re too stubborn anyway, artistically there would be a battle for the big ideas.”Liam, who released his debut EP ‘Love Will…’ last month, went on to admit that both he and his brother are very “stubborn” and would very much bicker at each other the same way that Noel and Liam Gallagher did while in Oasis. He recently joined his younger brother Sam onstage during his two sold-out nights at Newcastle’s Cathedral on the Hill, to duet on Bruce Springsteen’s slow-burning 1984 classic ‘I’m On Fire’.A post shared by Daniel Caddick (@danielcaddick)As a way to attempt to avoid comparisons to his BRIT award wining brother, Liam revealed that he considered releasing his music under a pseudonym.
