Broadway’s hit musical Moulin Rouge! has canceled today’s matinee and evening performances. The production tweeted the cancellation announcement without explaining the reason, but sources tell Deadline that producers have learned that a cast member has possibly been exposed to the coronavirus.
Performances are expected to resume tomorrow, March 13, according to the production’s tweet.

It's been a rough couple of weeks for the entertainment industry due to the coronavirus outbreak taking over the globe! In order for preventive measures, music concerts and sporting events are being cancelled or delayed. This season’s Tony contending shows like Moulin Rouge, Girl From The North Country and SIX, which was due to have its opening performance this evening, will officially close starting tonight, March 12, at 5 pm.
