Sophia Anne Caruso, who originated the role of Lydia Deetz in Broadway’s Beetlejuice, has exited the production as of its Wednesday, Feb. 19 show.
The production is scheduled to close to June 6. It is highly unusual for someone to leave a Broadway show abruptly.

Wendell Goler, a longtime Washington TV-news correspondent who was one of the earliest hires at Fox News Channel, died this week. He was 70 years old, and is believed to have died due to kidney failure, according to a tweet from Brit Hume, a Fox News contributor and former Washington Bureau chief.
The popular action-adventure survival horror video game, The Last of Us is all set to be adapted as an HBO series and the project will be helmed by Chernobyl writer Craig Mazin. Neil Druckmann, the creator of the original game, will join Craig in developing the project. They will pen the script and also serve as the executive producers, The Verge reported. The video game, which came out in 2013, is set in the post-apocalyptic United States where a fungal plague nearly destroyed humanity.
