The 2020 Tony Awards will not be held on the originally scheduled date this year, but two celebrations will be live streamed to toast Broadway’s biggest night!

Patton Oswalt will return as the host of the 2020 Webby Awards, emceeing a slightly different version of the annual show, which this year has been dubbed WFH: Webbys From Home. Though the Peabody Awards aren't holding an in-person ceremony this year — yet another live event canceled due to coronavirus concerns — the statues are still being awarded to the compelling and empowering stories of 2019. The Peabody Awards Board of Jurors announced this year's list of nominees on Wednesday, May 6.

The 2020 Tony Awards were postponed from their scheduled June 7 date to a unannounced later date, however, it’s looking like that may not happen.

For the past seven decades, the show has always gone on for the Tony Awards, which honor the best Broadway performances and productions. But with the 74th edition being postponed from its planned June 7 date due to the coronavirus, there’s a real chance that the ceremony will be scrapped altogether this year, multiple sources tell Variety.
