Britney Spears is serious about wanting to charge her father, Jamie Spears, with conservatorship abuse.

During the latest hearing for Britney Spears' ongoing conservatorship case on Wednesday, the 39-year-old singer addressed the court again. Speaking over the phone, Britney got emotional, crying as she told Los Angeles judge Brenda Penny that she wants her father, Jamie Spears, charged with conservatorship abuse.Judge Penny also granted Britney approval to hire her own legal counsel for the conservatorship case, a request the singer made during her testimony at a hearing on June 23.

During her court appearance on Wednesday, July 14, Britney Spears, 39, shared yet another emotional testimony regarding her life under her controversial conservatorship. The “…Baby One More Time” crooner spoke to judge Brenda J. Penny and requested she be allowed to hire her own lawyer to end her conservatorship. She was reportedly granted her request and also emotionally asked that her dad Jamie Spears, be charged with conservatorship abuse.

Britney Spears' conservatorship saga continued with yet another hearing on Wednesday. At the hearing, a judge ruled that Spears would be allowed to hire her own attorney for the case after asking the court for permission to do so, according to the New York Times.
